From VillageTelco
I've worked with Rael (on the outskirts) in the developments of Dabba since before the idea was born. I'm keen on the village telco principle since we dreamed it up many years ago.
To earn a living I run Vanilla - a small ISP. I've started a number of commercial and non-commercial organisations in the Internet space, such as the Telkom ISP, Public Interest Registry (.org), .za DNA, AfriNIC, Billy Engine, and some others...
I have a couple of partners in Future Perfect Corp. and I've been known to work in Radian doing policy research and development. One project resulted in the Open Source policy policy of the SA government. We're proponents of open source software and have implemented Asterisk installations over the past 3 years.
We're now very eager to build up Dabba in the Western Cape.
